Barkley is looking for an experienced Flash Developer who has a solid object-oriented programming approach and is comfortable achieving design vision and at the same time building robust, easily maintainable interactions.

The ideal person brings a knowledge of interactive design and applies best practices for interactive user experience AND software development.   Working with both creative and technical team members to find efficient and effective solutions to challenges is key to success in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Must communicate with Architects, Designers and Project Management on progress and risk in order to ensure effective management if client expectations
• Successfully combine a keen sensitivity toward front-end nuance with comprehensive back-end nuts and bolts
• Interface daily with creative team members and other members of our dedicated Flash team to create immersive online environments
• Develop interactions that gather and/or present data from one or more sources with some work on rich media ad units as well.

Requirements:

• 3+ years Flash development and related Web development experience
• Ability to understand and apply object oriented development concepts
• Ability to think creatively and provide technical insight and creative thought leadership
• Ability to translate complex information into easy to understand terms
• Experience in building rich media ad units, integrating video and audio and real-time/Multi-user environments

Candidates must also have current experience in following tools/languages/frameworks:

    Developing with Flash CS3 utilizing ActionScript 3
    Maintaining ActionScript 2
    XML
    (X)HTML/CSS
    Flash Remoting
    Flex/Air
