(KANSAS CITY) – Barkley has hired Jan-Eric Anderson as VP, Group Media Director. In his new role, he will be responsible for consumer connection planning on Barkley’s largest client, Sonic Drive-In. He will jointly report to Jim Elms, SVP, Director of Media Services, and Steve McGehee, SVP, Group Account Director. Elms is responsible for overall Barkley media strategy, while McGehee oversees the cross-functional Sonic account team.
Anderson formerly served as VP, Media Director at Starcom Worldwide, where he was responsible for clients such as Allstate, Miller Brewing Company, U.S. Army and The Coca-Cola Company. Additionally, he acted as National Television Supervisor in the Broadcast Investment Group. Prior to Starcom, Anderson was an Account Executive at ESPN.com. At Barkley, Anderson will oversee Sonic’s multi-channel consumer contact strategy in close collaboration with Barkley’s account and creative teams.
