Barkley Public Relations Wins Cause Branding Assignment From Family Violence Prevention Fund

(KANSAS CITY) – Barkley Public Relations has been awarded an assignment by the Family Violence Prevention Fund to develop a national cause marketing program. The agency will work with FVPF to create a full-scale cause initiative, including strategy, planning, research, promotions, advertising support, media relations and identifying corporate partners.
“Family Violence Prevention Fund continues to seek out new ways to further our efforts toward eliminating violence against women and children,” said Esta Soler, Founder and President, Family Violence Prevention Fund. “We recognize that cause branding is a powerful avenue to deliver that message. Barkley’s expertise ensures that we will design a program with impact.”
Violence against women and children is often hidden from the outside world, yet it affects millions of victims. In fact, a recent Harvard University study shows that one in five girls may suffer dating abuse before graduating high school. Furthermore, nearly one-third of American women (31 percent) report being physically or sexually abused by a husband or boyfriend at some point in their lives, according to a 1998 Commonwealth Fund survey. The cause program will seek to bring these statistics to further light and help end abuse around the globe.
