(KANSAS CITY) – Barkley, one of the largest independent agencies in the U.S., has hired Adam Herman as SVP, Director of Media Services. Herman will oversee the agency’s media planning and buying offering across all media including emerging media, broadcast, interactive, print and out-of-home. Herman replaces Jim Elms, formerly Director of Insights and Delivery, who joined Grey Worldwide.
Herman most recently acted as VP, Director of Media at Digitas New York, in a unique position that embedded him at MediaVest as Digital Sector Director for Kraft Beverages. While there, he was charged with integrating digital marketing into the core of Kraft’s strategic media decisions. Prior to Digitas, Herman served as Senior Partner, Integrated Media Director at Mediacom, working on brands including Orbitz, Hasbro, Century 21 and Wyndham Worldwide hotels.
Additionally, Herman is the former Marketing Director and VP of Operations at MediaPost Communications and Managing Editor at MEDIA magazine.
