Motel 6 needed a way to inspire people to travel again as quarantine lifted and vaccines became more widely available.

More than 4 million babies were born during COVID quarantine. With grandparents seen as the most susceptible to severe COVID symptoms, it meant many were unable to meet their new grandchildren in person for several months.

Challenge

Coming out of quarantine, Motel 6 wanted to help grandparents travel safely and affordably to finally meet their newest family members.

Solution

Through our “Grand Introduction” Campaign, we were able to celebrate this unique moment in history and the heartfelt emotions that came with it; documenting some real introductions, and creating a Grand Discount good for any grandparent who stays at Motel 6.
