POB - Brook Woodruff

Brooke Woodruff Executive Producer

Science confirms you are a different person after having babies. My personal experience of becoming a mother was that it made me thrive. I'm more empathetic, more empowered, more intentional, and I'm most certainly more nurturing.

“Being a mom means I have to always know what is going on. Same with being a producer. I can see around corners. My instincts are electric. But even growing up, my mom always called me Eagle Eyes, because I was, and still am, fully aware of all. the. things.”

I never realized it until I had my kids, but I liken being a producer to being a mom in so many ways. And I became a better producer for it. Hot Tip: Good snacks make children, clients, + creatives infinitely happier.

Nurture means to care for and encourage growth. This doesn’t just apply to babies. Once an idea is born, it's our job as producers to literally take those ideas and guide them to their full potential. It's my goal to make an impactful and meaningful stamp on the work I help create.

Being a mom means I always have to know what is going on. Same with being a producer. I can see around corners. My instincts are electric. But even growing up, my mom always called me Eagle Eyes, because I was, and still am, fully aware of all. the. things. I just know when one of my kids has locked herself in a bathroom to consume an entire jar of sprinkles (happened!) or when a creative director is secretly cutting a :60 (also maybe always happens!).

Growing up, I had terrific parents as mentors,  and I still go to them daily for advice. I learned from them how to nurture both my career and my family. I don't practice the separation of work + life as conflicting opposites. They both make me who I am in a full co-mingling, organized, but often chaotic, reality. Being a producer requires me to manage and navigate complexities, so why not add in being a room parent while I'm at it? Also, I can produce the heck out of a preschool valentines day party.
